Here are my 30 for 30 Remix Challenge outfits No. 1 through 10. If you’re new to the Remix, learn
more about it directly from the creator, the fabulous Kendi of Kendi Everyday: HERE. It’s kind of fun to
see the last 10 outfits all together. Most notable thing: I like my pits after all! At least, these aren’t as
pit-iful as the awkward pose in outfit No. 04 (follow link to see post–or not). My faves are 02, 03 & 06.
Which do you like?

I’ve decided not to continue the Summer Edition of
30 for 30 because life is short and summer is even
shorter! I’m certain this news will break many hearts
because you’re all dying to see the other 20 outfits;
it’s consuming your days and nights. No? No, it’s not.
There are far too many things in my closet that I want
to wear and new content in the works for the blog.
Participating in the 30 has been awesome due to all the
new blogger friends and readers who inspire me. Thank
you for the encouragement, your support means so
much. Afterall, fashion is an addiction!
Have you noticed the blog got a facelift? Along with a change in look, I’m adding featured topics to
complement regular outfit posts. Here are a few that I’m considering:
(a) It’s Raining Love: A round-up of things that currently inspire me
and make my heart swoon. This could be other bloggers, celebrities,
fashion editorials, designer look books, music, art, photography.
(It rains 8 months out of the year in the Northwest and my image clippings
give me much-needed, daily doses o’ sunshine).
(b) Work-2-Play: Two looks in one. Simple ways to remix an outfit taking it
from office to play-date or date-night.
(c) U-Pick // I-Wear: I’ll post up two items from my closet, you vote and
I’ll style the winner.
(d) Make. A personal photography series that I started last year of
life/work mottos. View them here. I have a running list of words and images
for the project and think this place may be a good platform to keep it going.
Another topic that is brought up quite a bit is thrifting. I’m not yet sure how to turn this into a feature.
Does any of this sound interesting to you? I’m getting totally psyched! Please share thoughts
and ideas for making this blog more relevant to you. I want to know what you think.

I love 2, 7, and 10 of your remixes! I don’t blame you for not finishing the 30 for 30 either. I think it’s a great idea, but I just don’t have the discipline to follow through with something like that. I give anyone tons of credit who can make it through even 5 days of remixing!
Also, I would love to see your feature on U-Pick/I-Wear. That would be really fun. And It’s Raining Love. It’s always nice to see what inspires other blogger!
Thanks H! I think the U-Pick / I-Wear is my fave and a way to make it more interactive!
My favorites are also 2, 7, and 10.
I’m excited about the changes you’re making, Van. It’ll be a good and fun platform for you to share even more of who you are with all of us!
Audrey @ Putting Me Together
Thanks, Audrey! Now, the pressures on. HAH. I’m only kidding. I started out thinking this would be a fun thing just for me, but have found the support of the blog community to be incredible. Now I feel motivated to create something that others find useful and can enjoy, as well.
I support your shifting gears and I’m excited to see the blog evolve. I’m a little sad to see the 30 go, though, because I was curious to see more looks from you. (: Of course, now I just get to see the full extent of your closet, so I guess there is no losing, here.
True dat. Thank goodness for me and you all, I’m still gonna be clothed on this blog.
1, 5, 7 & 8. Those are my favorites, although I enjoy watching you pose in them all. I’m glad you did the remix so I could find your site, but you can add in whatever you like. I’m here for the long haul. I love your writing style, your outlook and your taste, Looking forward to all your new segways and excited for you to branch out and be more YOU! That’s why we’re all here anyway, because we are interested in YOU! See you soon
Thanks again, Stacy! I’m feelin’ the love. Glad you get what I’m talking about!
oh yeah, I meant to say 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5! Loved that outfit, those photos, that post. That’s the post I first visited on and I have looked forward to each and every one since
i STILL love 5, 7, and 10. sorry you won’t be inspiring me for the rest of my 30 for 30, but I’m exited to see what else you’ve got up your sleeve… love the work-2-play idea and any tips on thrifting! i like the new layout too.
Anne, you’re doing great with your 30! It looks like you’re challenging yourself to branch out from the norm. There were outfits in my 10 that I probably never would have put together, if it weren’t for the challenge and support of other bloggers–esp. No. 02 and No. 08. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable wearing polka dotted shorts under my sheer skirt in No. 02 (normally it’s a longer black slip underneath). I also wouldn’t have mixed two bold patterns in No. 08. Do you feel more empowered when you break out of the mold? I certainly do.
You really did a great job! I love your clothes and your photography!
That means a lot coming from you Kelsey! You’ve done such an awesome job with your 30 so far, even while on vacation. I have plans to scope out a couple outdoor locations near my home that would be easy to setup my tripod because I love location photos. You have some pretty awesome ones.
You look so great in hats. Man, I love your blog.
Ask the Duplex
Thanks, Monica! I used to not be a hat person, until about a year ago and have been obsessively on the look-out and collecting since. Lightly worn vintage and men’s style hats are my faves and I like Target and F21 for their prices.
thanks for your sweet comment! honestly, i’ve been looking for your blog. i knew i visited your blog before and for some reason i forgot to follow you. now i know why, i didn’t have bloglovin before!! i’m definitely a follower now!
I’m glad you came back!
Bloglovin’ is great. It’s a really nice platform for keeping up on all the blogs that I read.
wow! congrats on the challenge. i always want to participate in these challenges, but i don’t think i have the discipline to make it past day 2.
my fav look is the second one
It was hard, but glad I tried it.
I think your “30″ was a success because these ten outfits look great! So much variety. Thanks for stopping by and saying hey, I’m excited to see what you come up with for your blog – it’s great so far!

Thank you for popping by, Lauren! I started blogging as a way to challenge myself to dress “uniquely” everyday. With a busy schedule, it’s easy to turn to the same tried and true outfits. Which leads to boredom. Which tricks my brain into thinking I don’t have anything to wear. Which triggers my body into going shopping for newer clothes so I don’t walk around naked. Which is all very untrue and not at all good on my pocketbook. There are a lot of clothes to be loved in my closet and after organizing it this past weekend, I’m very excited to see what evolves.
Girl, I don’t blame you for stopping after 10 remixes…I feel sooo done with it myself (but only have a few posts left.) Love’n the new lay out! I am all for thrifting posts, but everything you have added sounds great! Awesome work!
April, you totally rocked at the 30! And managed to keep your looks unique by changing up the accessories. KUDOS for getting through it and pregnant.
Oooh, all great outfits! I love all the colors!
Great inspiration to see them all together like that!
Thanks! Isn’t it fun to see them all together? I’m considering a weekly recap on Fridays just because it’s fun to see the little pics lined up in rows.
I haven’t tried a 30 for 30 challenge although I’ve considered it. And honestly, I probably wear the same pieces more often than I think!
Looking forward to the new blog posts!
If you’re a planner and like schedules, then I think the 30 for 30 would be fun. However, truthfully, I reserve most of my discipline for work and when it comes to personal life and hobbies, I’m the complete opposite: impulsive and laid-back. Variety is the spice of life! HAH. It was a tremendous way to connect with the blogging community and help me generate content or purpose for my blog. And now, I feel more focused on where to take my writing.
I bailed on it too! Lol! I’ve still been wearing a lot of the original pieces, but just didn’t want the additional pressure of photographing and blogging about it all the time.
I think your selections are awesome. I’m thankful that the remix connected me to your blog! Yay for that! Looks like you have a lot of cool things in the works! I’ll be following!
Aimee
Yes, I know! The day you announced the end of your 30, I had already been tinkering with the idea. It’s really funny what you said about still wearing some of the original items from the challenge because I was just thinking about that yesterday. There is just less “pressure”. But really… the only source of pressure is ourselves. Right?! I feel so nutty about this and can’t help but laugh at myself! Perception is often more real than reality. I have to wonder if I’m putting pressure on myself by announcing these future plans for focusing my blog. I’m only kidding. At least these things would truly be at my own pace. I’ll stop here, otherwise, I’m about to go into over-analytical mode.
Wow,,,you have so many ideas pretty mommy, I really admire you for that.
About my idea? pretty simple, do what you like and in generally, to have fun on it:)
Definitely having fun is tops on my list!
10, 7, and 3 are my favorites. Nice work!
Girl – you rocked it! You are such an inspiration for dressing chic – keep up the good work!
Thank you! You are way stylish, too, with your little one. I defnitely was not when my son was first born… was too busy trying to figure out being a new mom with a new baby.
