In the pursuit of happiness, we went out of town for a few days last week. As a result,
I hit a wall with the blog and been playing catch-up ever since we returned. But instead of
making progress, I’ve been chasing after Little C, hanging on to the last days of summer. Pretty
pictures drawn (me) and scribbled (him) on sidewalks, splashing around at the fountain parks,
rolling down grassy hills, digging for hidden treasures in the dirt, dancing to music at free
concerts, visits to the zoo to see the elephants and eating homemade popsicles.
Happiness. Check. Check. Check.

I drew Little C a fish. C scribbled on it. This kid has no respect.

He smiled up at me with these big, brown eyes and a toothy grin. So I forgave him. Dang it.

Last seen wearing: Fedora Hat / Stripes / Blue Pants

Yah! We can be twins with the bright blue pants now! I love them paired with the stripes and military jacket. Never thought to pair them with olive green. You are quite the artist and C looks darn cute with his big eyes! Glad to see a post from you.
Yea, Heather! Looking forward to seeing how else you style your blue pants. I plan to wear them into fall with richer tones, knits and boots. I think blue will brighten up the Oregon rainy seasons.
First, I really LOVE all the bright colors that you’ve been rock’n!! And no shame taking a break from the tech…these little ones grow too quickly! Important moments like those are super important.
Summer is usually not my favorite season for fashion, but have been enjoying it more by embracing color. I’ve been OCD with the royal blues and corals lately. I’m sure I’ll get sick of it soon and resort back to my neutral tendencies. Believe it, or not, I used to hardly wear color (lots of black, grays, tans, browns) and denim. Starting a blog has greatly helped me expand my style!
I would’ve forgiven him too.
I adore those pegged pants on you with the heels! The bright blue with the striped shirt is fantastic. You look awesome!
I’ve missed you, Van. I was wondering today where you’ve been. That picture of Little C is SO GOSH DARN ADORABLE. How can you even stand it?
Aw, thanks, Audrey! I shake my head constantly in disbelief that this is my kid.
Your son is absolutely adorable, first of all. Even his additions to your artwork. Hehe.
I adore this look of yours. I love wearing my mom’s old air force jacket and the stripes AND Madden shoes? I feel like this could have been from my closet!
Sarah, I totally see you sporting this look!
The army jacket catching my eyes!!!! that’s another good found!
talking about kid, whatever thing they did bad, as long as they say “I love you” at the end, every hard and rough heart melt, isn’t it:))
Not a single thing I don’t love about this, from the bright blue to the army vest to the fedora. I think we are clothes friends!
Just found your blog and I’m so excited! So great to see another mama/professional showcasing real outfits and real style. Love it!
Thank you so much for leaving your comment, I’m glad to see you another stylish mom here. Your blog is delightful!
What an amazing vintage hat find!!!
Thanks, Tysie! This year I have been building my vintage hat collection. Men’s fedora’s are my fave. There’s a certain element of swagger and sass that comes with wearing one and I feel instantly transformed.
