Two Weeks Notice starring Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant is one of my favorite romantic comedies, and
I quote a few lines from it in my everyday life. One of those is “a twisted bobcat pretzel”. It’s only funny
if you know the movie, as it’s all in how Bullock sets up the scene and delivers the line. Incidentally,
the print on my blouse looks kind of bobcat and I like snacking on pretzels dipped in fancy mustard and
my hair is in a twisted side bun.

twisted + bobcat + pretzel = today’s post title

Months ago, I introduced the idea of a blog feature where I show you how to take an outfit from work to
play date or date night. Here’s the first installment of Work-2-Play. I started with the blouse, cargo pants
and ribbon bow as the basis, which I like on it’s own–if it weren’t cold out and you know how I can’t
resist layering. The cropped jacket tones down the print, but still allows it to shine. It’s also a great way
to play with pattern mixing without going too bold. For a funky twist, I sported my neon sunglasses,
which threw the bobcat for a loop.

On a play outing with Little C, I created a menswear inspired look with comfy saddle shoes and my
buttery, soft (faux) leather moto jacket. The ribbon bow and red lips really add the touches of spicy
that makes me grin from ear-to-ear. I could easily wear this same look for a casual date night with
the Hubby! What do you think? Would you wear any of these looks? Are there particular things you’d
like to see in future Work-2-Play posts?
